He shoots, he scores! Senior Thomas Allen says his most memorable moment this year was when he played in the basketball game against Wylie High.
Great pride in this school came with the win against the “town rivals”.
“We weren’t going to let Wylie High feel like they were the only real high school and that even without seniors we can play and we can win,” Allen said.
As the first varsity basketball team at this school, the players felt as if they were making history.
“When playing in the game, I felt like we were setting the goal for the upcoming classes,” Allen said.
Keeping focus as they finished the game, they didn’t want to seem as if they were cocky.
“When the game was over, and we saw that we won, we kept our cool as we shook their hands and told them good game,” Allen said.
