The Lady Raider Golf team won first place as a team at the Forney High School Jackrabbit Spring Invitational golf tournament Feb. 11. The varsity girls competed at the Firewheel Golf Course in Richardson. The team was led by Coach Melinda Black.
Three of the five girls medaled: Lindsay Bain (4th), Merlynne Penequito (6th), Cassandra Chumley (10th). This was the first win for the girls as a team.

The Wylie East varsity boys played in the RHS Canyon Creek Class Tournament Feb. 12. Despite the rain and cold temperatures, Eric Valenzuela placed 10th with a score of 79.
