Temple Run is the new latest and greatest smartphone game. It’s so much fun; everybody is playing it. The weird kid that always sits in the corner in the cafeteria during lunch, he’s playing it. The “popular” kids that can’t stop talking about who they would look cute with and how they’re going to win Prom King/Queen, they’re playing it. You’re crazy old grandma riding on a unicycle with a baboon on her back; yup even she’s playing it.
Temple Run is a game that is based on Indiana Jones running away from demon monkeys and collecting coins (or as other people say, finding the treasure). How to play is just a flick of the finger and the character moves. Players have to tilt the device at times to get the coins. To slide under things, players press the screen, and to jump, players press and flick up.
I’ll admit it sounded stupid when I first heard about it. Then I played it. Holy guacamole! I love it!!! I cannot get enough of it. Any chance I get, I play it. Some of my friends tell me, “Oh yeah my high score is like 10 million jillion trillion. Ha, ha, I’m better than you are.” I honestly don’t know how they get to a million; I barely get to 400,000.
Temple Run is only available for Apple devices at the moment, so all you Android people have to wait until Feb. 9. It won’t be long until you see everyone on their phone, music device or tablet all playing Temple Run.
