Senior Announcements/ Caps & Gowns and Announcements
All student caps and gowns will be distributed during lunches April 29.
Graduation Rehearsal
Rehearsal is an expectation for all seniors and is Friday, June 6 at 11 a.m. Buses will depart from WEHS at 10:00 am. Seniors are expected to report to the Main Gym at 9 a.m. Students may wear WEHS Spirit Shirts and jeans. You do not need to wear regalia for rehearsal. Following rehearsal, students will be brought back to WEHS or will ride the buses to the Main Event for the Senior Event sponsored by the Class of 2014 Senior Parent Committee. All students are expected to ride the buses to and from the Allen Event Center. Students will not be admitted if they do not ride buses.
Can my senior drive to graduation?
For students to participate in graduation they must ride buses from Wylie East High School. Students should arrive at the WEHS Competition Gym with their cap and gown, no later than 1:15 p.m. June 7. Students will be lined up and put on buses according to how they will sit in the Allen Event Center. Graduates are not required to ride buses back to WEHS after graduation.
How can I get tickets? What about extra tickets?
Seniors will be given a request form Tuesday, April 15, for tickets. Each graduate may request up to 12 tickets. If you would like to request additional tickets, please indicate the number on the form. Additional tickets may not be seated with the 12 assigned. You are not guaranteed the additional tickets, after the first 12 that are assigned. Please return the ticket request form no later than Friday, May 2.
What should I do if I have a family member who requires handicapped seating?
If someone in your family will require ADA/Handicap seating, please note they will not be seated with the rest of the family, and due to seating restraints will be allowed ONE attendant to be seated with him/her in the elevator accessible area. You will make this request on the same ticket form provided to your student during the senior meeting.
When will seniors receive tickets for graduation?
In order to have a better estimate of the total number of graduates we will distribute graduation tickets May 21 during lunches.
Do the tickets cost?
Graduation tickets are free, as well as the parking around the Allen Event Center. Although the tickets are free, each person must have a ticket to enter the building.
Is the seating general admission or reserved?
Seats are reserved (similar to a concert), and will be distributed in random blocks of seats so that all tickets distributed to a senior are together (additional tickets over the assigned may not be seated together). Due to the arrangement of the Allen Event Center there are no “bad” seats.
What time will the doors open for the event?

The doors will open one hour before the event is scheduled to start.
